Drawing: a small mater of Life & Death

These drawings represent the final days of my mother Annemarie Campbell. They are a documentation of what she endured in her final weeks in hospital. 

I stayed with her throughout each night and within the quiet dark room would draw her in this limbo state. Hopefully these drawings give a minute look at her remarkable strength and the love she was held in as well as the grace with which she endured her suffering .

They were all drawn at her bedside except for the Witness studies which represent the relatives at her bedside and the Poster & 'Night-Mere' drawings which were drawn in the studio. The "Night-mere' drawings represent an out of body view after death.
